Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Impact Enter the Board Room
News Alert from Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP

Going forward, global investment management company BlackRock intends to ask some “hard questions" about companies’ plans to "integrate environmental, social and governance factors and Impact principles into their long term strategy and management."  According to this week's news alert - Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Impact Enter the Board Room - publicly traded companies and those contemplating an IPO should take note because this indicates "a fundamental shift in how investment-worthiness is being evaluated and it is likely that other leading asset managers will follow suit."  The alert includes suggestions from Diamond sponsor Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP on tactics you can use to prepare for and possibly benefit from this new approach.

Leading From The Legal Perch

What does it take to effectively lead in a legal department that is multi-generational, multi-cultural, and often includes remote team members from across the world in today’s demanding 24/7 business environment?  What does it take to lead cross-departmentally?  Does the size of the legal department matter?  How can you, as an aspiring leader, contribute to your team and build your leadership muscle?  What competencies are critical? Join us on Tuesday, April 17, for a vibrant and pragmatic conversation with a diverse group of legal department leaders, and plan to share your own insights and experiences.
