|Announcement: New Executive Director of ACC NCR
A message from the ACC NCR Board of Directors:
We have very exciting news to share with you. The
Search Committee, with the help of Ilene Reid and Garrison & Sisson,
concluded a thorough search for our new Executive Director. We are
pleased and thrilled to let you know that Shannon Graving will join us as the new Executive Director of ACC NCR.
is currently Assistant Director for Corporate Pro Bono (CPBO), a global
partnership project of ACC and Pro Bono Institute (PBI). Over the past
seven years, she has worked with dozens of ACC chapters and thousands
of in-house counsel from legal departments of all sizes, across
industries and around the world, to help them start or expand their pro
bono programs. In this position, she has been responsible for
consulting, events, publications, board relations, and more, and has
collaborated with law firms, legal services organizations, bar
associations, and the courts on pro bono and access to justice
initiatives. Prior to CPBO, Shannon worked in the Washington, D.C.,
office of Holland & Knight, with a practice focused on mergers and
acquisitions and management liability insurance. In addition to her
commercial work, Shannon led the firm’s pro bono efforts assisting Iraqi
nationals endangered due to their affiliation with the U.S. government
and has actively supported a number of community organizations,
including the National Women’s History Museum. She is a graduate of
Wellesley College and Georgetown University Law Center.
