In September, WMACCA experimented with holding its monthly chapter signature program at the breakfast hour. We want to know from you whether this is preferable to a lunch time program
I prefer breakfast (7:30 to 8 a.m. for breakfast and networking, with the program from 8 to 9:30 a.m
I prefer lunch (12 noon to 2 p.m.)
I would like you to rotate between breakfast and lunch times.
Can we try late afternoon? (Program from 4 to 5:30, with networking reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p
I generally cannot find the time for these programs.

November Signature Program Features Panel of Federal Agency GCs

WMACCA's signature monthly program for November will feature top lawyers from several of the federal agencies whose programs, policies, initiatives, and regulations affect many of our companies and organizations. We will look for their thoughts – as in-house counsel to these agencies – on what the top priorities are for their agencies and what new initiatives their agencies have undertaken that may have implications for our organizations. What advice do they have about the role that in-house counsel in the private sector should play in dealing with the agencies, and on best-practices for compliance with the agencies’ rules and regulations (and for dealing with their offices, should the occasion arise)?

Our panel will include:

  • Frank R. Borchert III, GC, Small Business Administration
  • David R. Hill, GC, Department of Energy
  • Marc L. Kesselman, GC, Department of Agriculture
  • Douglas P. Larsen, Deputy GC for Acquisitions & Logistics, Department of Defense
  • Jonathan L. Snare, Acting Solicitor of Labor, Department of Labor.

This is the inaugural session of what will be an annual event for WMACCA, providing us with the opportunity to hear from the lawyers at regulatory and policy-making agencies.
