NJCCA's Eight Annual Full Day CLE Conference

Our Eight Annual full day CLE Conference was held on Friday September 24th.  We had a record attendance at the conference with well over 350 attendees.  The day focused on providing our members with an opportunity to fulfill a portion of their mandatory CLE obligation with a wide variety of programs for in-house counsel to choose from.  The panels included in-house counsel speakers that provided an in-house perspective on the topic.  We were fortunate to have Yvette Fortenot, Senior Policy Director, Office of Health Care Reform at the White House speak with us about the implementation of the health care legislation.  After a full day of CLE attendees were able to unwind with cocktails and piano music by Mathew Friedman, the Piano Man in Billy Joel’s Movin Out. 

We were also joined by Catherine Moynihan, Director of Project Development from ACC to promote the ACC Value Index, a tool for ACC members to find and benchmark outside counsel based on peer reviews; it’s part of the ACC Value Challenge, focusing on the value in outside counsel relationships.  ACC is committed to making this member service really robust.  Ms. Moynihan was able to provide the attendees with a live demonstration in the exhibit hall.  NJCCA also offered an incentive to members to complete the ACC Value Index “Scorecards” and conducted a drawing from the completed scorecards to raffle off an iPad to one lucky winner.
