Question of the Month: Green Marketing and Public Procurement
My global company is in the process of developing a consumer electronics product. The plan is to market the product in Europe, to both the private and public sectors, and also in the U.S. We know that the EU is more stringent in its “green” laws on public procurement. What are the relevant EU Directives for public procurement?
Answer: ACC has resources to help you understand how EU Directives work and the importance of investigating the status of a directive in any particular country where a company wishes to operate. You can look to the following resources:

Green-house Counsel is Changing Colors
It is no longer acceptable to say we are “going green.” Today, ACC Members have to “be green” and have a plan to move towards greener pastures in the near future. But who can keep up with all the new regulations, litigation, and reporting requirements on their own? Green-house Counsel, along with its new sponsor , Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox, LLP (MGKF) will be here monthly to help ACC members save time and money (and perhaps even find some stimulus money for you).
Going green is not just about your carbon footprint anymore. Take the first step in the right direction and check back with us on the first of each month.
