Overview

Background regarding international climate change agreements, such as the U.N. Framework Conventions on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol, a review of historical national laws and regulations and a discussion of the proposed federal legislation and regulations, a summary of California's climate change legislation and initiatives, including Assembly Bill 32 and future regulations proposed by the Scoping Plan, emerging due diligence and SEC disclosure requirements to account for greenhouse gas emissions and climate change risks, and an overview of current climate change litigation with an outlook on likely future actions.
