Pushing ahead on the advocacy front: 

KPMG Judge Slams DOJ’s “Thompson Memo”
Federal Judge Lewis Kaplan dismissed the charges against 13 former KPMG employees and cited the prosecution tactics used in the case as the primary reason.

ACC Amicus Helps Win Third Circuit Privilege Case
An unanimous Third Circuit panel vacated the district court's production order in the BCE/Teleglobe case in a precedential opinion. The court agreed with ACC that a rule forcing the parent companies to choose between relinquishing the privilege on one hand and relinquishing any control over their subsidiaries on the other hand, makes little sense.

ACC Urges US Courts to Reject Australian Class Action Case
ACC filed an amicus brief in a case which presents important questions about whether, and to what extent, US securities class actions may be brought by non-US investors against non-US companies, concerning disclosures and trades made outside the US.

Help Benchmark Outside Counsel Hourly Rates
2007 Serengeti Outside Counsel Rate Survey

Would you like to know how outside counsel hourly rates that you pay compare with the rates paid by other companies?  Each year, Serengeti surveys ACC members regarding the latest hourly rates for specific types of legal work in the largest metropolitan areas.  Participants receive a free summary of the rates information provided by ACC law departments.
