Message from the Chair

As Chair of the Litigation Committee, I would like to welcome each of our 5,000+ members and encourage each member to take advantage of the many resources and opportunities that the committee strives to provide you through your ACC membership. Whether you are responsible for litigation management or are an in-house litigator, work in a small or large law department, spend all of your time immersed in litigation matters or only handle a few lawsuits a year, the Litigation Committee is committed to identifying and providing you the resources and support that you need to do your job more effectively while also creating opportunities for our members to exchange ideas with other professionals with similar interests and needs.

Our Committee Business Meetings are usually on the Fourth Tuesday of the Month, 4:00 pm EST | 1:00 pm PST. Please note that the November and December 2016 meetings will be on November 15th and December 20th, a week earlier than usual. You can confirm each months meeting in the Events section of our committee web pages. The meetings are run by the committee leadership, and include a ½ hour discussion of a substantive topic. Click here for the dial-in number to the committee meetings, which you will also find at the top of the meeting agendas.

The many resources the Litigation Committee supports include ACC Docket, ACC Docket Briefings, ACC's Blog (www.inhouseACCess.com), InfoPAKs, QuickCounsels, Top Tens, Webcasts, recorded Legal Quick Hits (at the monthly business meeting), and more. The Litigation Committee also supports an active ongoing discussion on ACC's eGroups, a private discussion among ACC members (in-house counsel only), which also permits anonymous postings when requested [TIP: Limit the number of emails you receive by selecting the "digest" option for eGroups].  If you are interested in exploring opportunities for professional growth and want to exercise your leadership or authoring skills, then please let us know as there are many opportunities to get involved with the Litigation Committee and the many resources that we help provide our members.

Not a member? Click here and then click the "JOIN NOW" button to be included in the committee's invitations and discussions relevant to you. If you have any questions or suggestions on how the Litigation Committee can better serve your needs.

Sincerely,

Bryon Koepke

The triage models and methods hospitals and first responders use during emergencies provide several useful reference points applicable to today’s legal, risk and compliance leaders. In this article, Navigant Managing Director Jonathan Marks will we provide useful guidance to help organizations design and implement fraud triage programs that have the potential to address the most important complaints successfully.

ACC Voice of the Member Survey

ACC is embarking on a strategic planning project to help guide the association in the next five years.  The ACC Voice of Member Survey was released to all members on November 1 and our survey partner, Axiom, resent the survey to all members earlier this week. Please check your inbox to access the survey.

By participating in the survey, you will help us develop our strategic plan to forge an even stronger and more vital ACC to better serve our members – and their organizations - around the world.

Thank you in advance for sharing your feedback on the future of ACC. The survey responses will strengthen the value of your ACC membership.
