Updates From ACC Committees

Message from the Chair

Well, it’s that time of year again, the kids are back in school, a hot, steamy summer turns to a cooler fall and cold winter, and the Small Law Department gavel is passed to a new Committee Chair.

This year the passing of the SLD gavel was accompanied by TWO Grand Slams, Triple Crowns or Hat Tricks, depending on your favorite sport! At this year’s Annual Meeting SLD was honored with the Large Committee of the Year Award; our sponsor, Meritas, was awarded the Sponsor of the Year Award; and our outgoing Committee chair, Mary Delahunty, was awarded the Committee Member of the Year Award! WOW! Congratulations to Mary and Meritas and to all of our SLD members who made it possible for our Committee to win its award.  In addition, three of our SLD members have been appointed to the Board of Directors of ACC: Jeremy Ladle, Nicolle Schippers, and Jeff Wheeler. Finally, the Annual Meeting was not only a huge success, it was fun!   SLD sponsored seven of the programs in a slate of exceptional programs this year, with SLD members speaking on each of these programs and many others, and there was a raft of great networking opportunities and evening parties, including our own Hob Nob and the excellent party sponsored by Meritas.

I’d like to thank last year’s Committee leaders for their contributions and welcome this year’s leaders. We have exciting plans to continue providing top quality programming and resources for our members this year so stay tuned. You can register below for some great Quick Hits and Webcasts that have been scheduled over the next few months to get the New Year rolling.

Have a happy holiday season, SLDers!
